PTFA Discos

After a long 2 years we are excited to announce that our school discos are BACK!

School discos will be held on Wednesday 6th July 2019 in the main hall at Battling Brook School. Please note the times and bring your child to the classroom listed below for entry to the disco.

Years 1-5

Year Group

(Enter through) Classroom

Year 6 classrooms at 6pm for leavers party

Years 1 & 2    4.30pm – 5.30pm

Years 3 & 4    5.45pm – 6.45pm

Years 5 & 6    7.00pm - 8.00pm

£3.00 entry & tuck shop will be open at each disco

We are making a slight change to the way we run the disco’s in order to make the evening much more streamlined. We will be selling tickets for the disco beforehand, so that on the night your child will only have to enter, hand in their ticket and then go straight through to the disco. This should massively shorten queueing time, and maximise time to showcase their moves!

Year 6

The Year 6 Leavers Disco will be held on Wednesday 6th July 2022 in the main hall at Battling Brook School. Children are invited to arrive at their usual classroom from 6:00pm for pre-disco pizza, and a chance to socialise with their friends and sign each other’s Leavers books. Children will be ready for collection at 8:00pm.

Whilst historically this event has been at a cost of £5 per child – this year the PTFA have taken the decision to subsidise the pizza and disco entry for our year 6 leavers, as both a thank you for all their help with our fundraising and also as a way of congratulating our leavers on finishing primary school, and their next step to high school. Children should still bring money for any drinks or sweets they wish to buy from the tuck shop during the disco part of the evening.

If you have any concerns with regard to dietary requirements / food allergies please inform us before the event, as no alternatives will be available without prior notice.

Please come to the main office to be let into school to collect your child at the end of all of the discos.

All Parents/Carers MUST enter school through the main school entrance to collect children.  NO child will be allowed to walk home without adult supervision.  Please do not allow children to bring mobile phones, cameras or electronic devices.

PARKING – we are aware that it can be difficult to park near school.  Please park with consideration for residents and other road users when dropping off and collecting from this whole school event, to allow the children to get into school safely.
